AMERICA’S CREDIT UNIONS PAC TEXT MESSAGING PRIVACY NOTICE

This Privacy Notice explains how America’s Credit Unions PAC (the “PAC,” “we,” “us” or “our”), the political action committee of America’s Credit Unions, collects, uses and protects information in connection with its text messaging program, including the webpages and opt-in forms it uses for that program (the “Program”). It applies only to the Program. America’s Credit Unions’ Privacy Policy, available at https\://www.americascreditunions.org/privacy-policy, applies to the America’s Credit Unions website and to America’s Credit Unions’ other activities.

If you opt in, you consent to receive recurring SMS/MMS messages from the PAC at the number you provide. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help.

How You Opt In
You may opt in to our SMS program by completing any of the following actions:

  • Submitting your phone number on our website or sign-up form and expressly agreeing to receive text messages
  • Checking an opt-in box acknowledging consent to receive text messages
  • Providing verbal or written consent during an interaction with our team

Your opt-in confirms that you agree to receive recurring messages for the purpose described at sign-up.

Other Sources of Information
We may also obtain contact information, including phone numbers, from publicly available voter records and from commercial data providers. You can reply STOP to any message to stop receiving messages from the PAC.

Information You Provide

We may collect information voluntarily provided by you, such as:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Postal address
  • Any information submitted through forms or messaging

If you participate in our SMS program, we may also collect:

  • Your mobile phone number
  • Your wireless carrier
  • The date, time, and content of your messages

Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • IP address
  • Browser or device type
  • Website actions (pages viewed, clicks, etc.)
  • General location data

We may use cookies or similar technologies to enhance functionality and user experience.

How We Use Your Information

We may use your information to:

  • Deliver the SMS messages you opted in to receive
  • Send updates, alerts, and service-related communications
  • Provide customer support
  • Improve and operate the Program
  • Meet our legal and reporting obligations, including campaign finance requirements

We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data or consent information with third parties or affiliates, including America’s Credit Unions, for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We may share information with service providers who help us deliver the Program and who may use it only for that purpose, and as required by law, including campaign finance reporting requirements.

We may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to:

  • Improve website performance
  • Personalize content
  • Measure and analyze traffic patterns

Browser settings may be adjusted to restrict cookies, though doing so may limit some functionality. If a Program webpage is hosted on the America’s Credit Unions website, information collected automatically on that website, including through cookies, analytics and similar technologies, is also described in America’s Credit Unions’ Privacy Policy.

Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Changes to This Notice
We may update this Notice by posting a revised version with a new “Last Updated” date.

Your Choices

  • Opt-Out: Reply STOP (or END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, REVOKE or OPT OUT), or tell us in any other reasonable way, to stop receiving messages at any time. An opt-out applies to all text messages from the PAC.
  • Help: Reply HELP for assistance.
  • Cookies: Manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

Children’s Privacy

The Program is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
